A
couple of years ago, I had a dream of extending our home. My husband
allowed me the freedom of deciding how this extension would look like. After many, many sketches, we finally agreed that we were ready to make
the big step of starting to make this dream a reality.
We had
no idea who our contractor would be. However, while reading our local “Ka Nu Pepa,” I noticed an ad. When I called to inquire, Mr. Chad
Taniguchi made time in his busy schedule to meet with us that day. We
were so pleased with his honesty and knowledge that without hesitation,
we asked that he become our General Contractor for our extension
project. Since it was a “turn-key” type situation, we didn't have to
worry about looking for individual people to do the various jobs. Every step of the way, Mr. Taniguchi answered all our questions and
provided helpful suggestions, which we incorporated into our dream.
After
the completion of our new extension, (which included two good-sized
bedrooms, a bathroom with a bigger than normal shower, a small living
room, a loft over the stairs), we were so pleased with the fine
workmanship that was done that we asked Mr. Taniguchi and his team to
take on our two downstairs bathroom renovation project. They did, and
now we are enjoying our dream come true. Our only regret is that,
looking back, we wished we could have done these projects years
earlier. Since then, we have received many compliments on our addition
and bathroom projects that many people have asked for the name of the
contractor, which we happily and highly recommend.
Chad is very
knowledgible in his field, has a good eye for detail and perfection,
and is a very honest person. He and his team represents his company
name well...showing quality in their workmanship! If we ever had the
need to do another renovation, we would call him without hesitation!

In
2005 my wife and I hired Mr. Chadworth Taniguchi to build our dream
home in Kaneohe. We had no idea what we were getting into and were
told by everyone we knew that during the time of all the planning and
preparation of this project, my wife and I would probably get into
quite a few arguments over all the stress. Mr. Taniguchi and his team
made things so easy for us, that I don’t remember being overwhelmed at
all. He took control of planning every single detail and made sure
that our wishes were implemented whenever possible. He kept us updated
on the progress every step of the way. Mr. Taniguchi and his team made
our dreams come true in just 4 months. From demolition of the existing
house to the handing over of the keys to our brand new 2 story home. I
was thoroughly impressed. Even more impressive was the fact that he
said he could do it and he proved it. Although our home was built
rather quickly, quality was never sacrificed. Not a single corner
cut. Mr. Taniguchi built our house as if it were for his own family. Every member of his team took so much pride in the work that thy did and it showed in the final product. We get nothing but compliments on
our home from all of our friends, family and neighbors alike. I am so
proud to send referrals to Mr. Taniguchi because I know that his work
is worth its weight in gold. He is a good man with so much integrity. It goes far beyond what he does in his trade as well. With his busy schedule, he still makes the time to be an excellent professional and
personal friend. We are a young family yet and as our family continues
to grow, my wife and I would like our house to grow as well. In fact,
we already have some ideas on what we would like to do. There is no
other person that we trust more than Mr. Taniguchi to continue what he
started. No question about it, we will hire him again. If he happens

Chad Taniguchi has been our general contractor for work on our home in
Mililani. The project was started in late 2006 and was completed in early 2007. We asked Mr. Taniguchi to build an addition to our existing home. The addition was more than 600 square feet and consisted of the demolition of our existing master bath and bedroom and the entire “end” of our existing home, then construction of a new
master bath, master bedroom, a large study and a patio.
That
was the first time we have engaged in such a large project and we are greatful to Mr. Taniguchi for helping us throughout the entire project, from having the plans drawn to coordinating finishing touches on our
home. Mr. Taniguchi even helped us when we asked to adjust our original contract with him to include repair to some of the siding on
our existing home, replacing a door and even removing an old air conditioner. The project was completed to the exact specifications, better than code, and to our satisfaction.
Throughout the project, Mr. Taniguchi was extremely professional, efficient and courteous. We were anxious about the project since we had no experience with such a major undertaking however Mr. Taniguchi was most reassuring and addressed all of our questions every step of the way
whenever we asked. He kept in close contact with us by telephone, email and in person throughout the project.
We are extremely pleased with Chad Taniguchi’s performance as our general contractor. We would absolutely ask him to help us with any project we may have in the future and will most certainly recommend his services to everyone we know. Thanks to Chad Taniguchi, we now have our Dream Home.

From
the beginning, Chad Taniguchi (the owner) was very responsive to our many questions seeking his advise in making some decisions on our
kitchen “extreme” make-over. We decided eventually to remove two walls and open up our kitchen to flow into the dining and living rooms. Chad was very helpful in guiding us through this process with many
suggestions for solving problems.
As the work began, Dream Home Builders proved to be a first-rate professional construction company. Being a family operated, Sinclair (Chad’s dad) was always willing to answer our questions and helped lead the team of workers. Within four hours, everything was removed from our old kitchen and the installation of the new kitchen was underway. The work was done neatly, with a lot
of care, as if the crew were working on their place. Chad was available everyday to answer questions and inform us of the upcoming
schedule. The work was coordinated well with the plumbing and electrical sub-contractors who all worked together to complete our project in an efficient manner. It couldn't have turned out any better than it did. We love our new kitchen “island” and we eat there every day, just as Chad said we would! The finished product is beautiful,
and the credit goes to Dream Home Builders for making it a reality.
After
the positive experience with our kitchen renovation, we had Dream Home Builders back to renovate our two upper level bathrooms and three bedrooms. Again, everything was done neatly, carefully, and with quality workmanship right on schedule. We appreciate our new step-in shower with built-in seat and two grab bars, along with the double
sinks in our master bath. We couldn't be happier!

We recently purchased our home in Mililani Mauka and instantly knew that it was lacking a covered lanai and second lever deck to take advantage of our perimeter views. We anticipated having to separately hire an architect, contractor, and sub-contractors. What started out as an overwhelming task resulted in an AMAZING experience. This company is definitely “one-stop shopping.” They take care of everything that’s required from start to finish, including association and building department approvals. Additionally, the dread of living in a “construction zone” never materialized. At the end of each day, everything was cleaned up and therefore, we realized very little inconvenience. Chad estimated the completion time of the project as well as the time lines of each phase and finished right on time. The quality and attention to detail of their work speaks for itself. The entire project looks like it was original to the home, which was our intent, and confirmed by our friends who have visited. If we didn’t tell them it was new, they would never have known!
